  • Why did I choose this as my coaching specialty?

My personal story is that I have experienced divorce both as a child, as my parents divorced when I was 8 years old, and also as a wife and mother of my three children. I actually went through the divorce process with my husband twice, once after 12 years of marriage, and again after 18 years, after attempting a reconciliation. Those two experiences were under completely opposite circumstances, and gave me an understanding of the unique differences between an amicable split, and a tumultuous one. I have firsthand multi-faceted experience with the legal system and different options, and I have a genuine compassion for families that must go through these difficult choices.

Each person's circumstances and journey are different, each person's marital problems and issues are different, but one thing remains consistent, and that is that no one enters into marriage expecting to divorce, even when we know the possibility is there. Many people view divorce as a "failure". That something we wanted so badly to be successful, in the end, wasn't.

The truth is that the marriage may be over, but your life isn't. No matter what age you are, no matter where you are in life, you deserve happiness for the rest of it. Happiness is not something that just happens to you, it's something you create for yourself. The most important thing to remember is that you will find love again... within and for yourself. Once that transformation occurs, anything you want for yourself is possible. My primary mission in this field is to guide you there, to that place of unconditional self-love.

Divorce isn't such a tragedy. A tragedy is staying in an unhappy marriage.
